One of the last great remote cruising areas in the world. Magnificent mountains, fjords, as rugged coast line as can be found anywhere most of which is accessible only by boat.
Camping out in the Broken Group
Our first port of entry into Canada was Bamfield on the South West corner of Vancouver Island. The small village provided small store, water, fuel and supplies. Pictured above is “main street” on the west side of the village is assessable only by water.
The economic mainstay of the west coast is fishing.
Lazy days anchored in remote lagoons and the most beautiful sunsets imaginable.
And as all good things must end, it was the long down hill run down the coast home . . .
